My first band promo photo shoot, I need help!?
Does anyone havce any posing ideas? How to run the photoshoot? Mine will be outside. What should I charge?
Hire a professional.
If you’re this clueless you’re in no position to do this shoot, let alone charge a single dime. I’d be real nervous if the photographer I was using had no clue how to run the shoot or pose.
My way of doing things is explaining up front what we will be doing. And that usually involves mentioning that I do not aim for any specific pose but I will guide and look for what is most flattering for the client. Usually the shoot is laid back and fun with no major direction or posing. If I have to, I have to otherwise I prefer to just let loose and see what happens.
