How to get the most money when selling memorabilia.?
I’m looking how to sell an autographed Kobe Bryant basketball, and I’m looking for tips on how to sell it and get the most money out of it. Should I go with Ebay or are there better selling sites for memorabilia?
First rule, no matter which website: Authenticate, Authenticate, Authenticate. Always make sure that your sold items are authenticated, to ensure the seller that your piece is 100% genuine and authentic.
Now, if you have a price in mind, I would say based only on the description given “Kobe Bryant Ball Signed,” I would say that you could fetch anywhere from 200 -800 dollars, maybe more or less depending on the quality, timing, etc.
I sell my memorabilia on eBay, and I would strongly recommend it. If you absolutely do not want to take any risks, set a “reserve.” A reserve ensures that no one will be able to sneak a little bid on your ball and win it at the last moment ( for a lower than desired price). However, buyers do not always appreciate reserves. Given the nature of what you are selling, I wouldn’t bother with a reserve.
If I was selling this ball, I would set it up as
Starting Bid: 200 dollars Bid Time: 10-12 days
Buy it Now Price: Anywhere from 50-500 dollars above what you originally purchased the ball for.
(If you did not purchase the ball, I would recommend a 600 dollar buyitnow or BESTOFFER.)
